The Audiovisual Preservation University Lab at Universidade Federal Fluminense (LUPA-UFF), in Niterói, Brazil, participated in the creation of two networks, one national and the other international. The first is RUAAv–University Network of Audiovisual Collections, involving audiovisual preservation initiatives in Brazilian universities. The second was the result of the Sur a Sur meeting, in Medellín, in 2023, that gathered audiovisual preservation university labs from Brazil, Colombia, and Uruguay. The result was the creation of ReMAUL – Audiovisual Memory Network in Latin American Universities. ReMAUL second meeting will be in Montevideo, in September 2024, with a third meeting expected in Brazil, in 2025.
