Professor Vanessa Toulmin has initiated a fundraising call for the beautiful Winter Gardens in Morecambe:

The Morecambe Winter Gardens was where the Mitchell & Kenyon films of Morecambe and Lancaster were shown and appears on the films.  It was also the place where The Entertainer (1960) was shot with Laurence Olivier based on the John Osbourne play.  https://www.morecambewintergardens.co.uk/

We have started a crowdfunding campaign to help us match the costs of the heating grant (we currently have no infrastructure) and to enable us to have the funds to move the building forward and to secure the heating grant from the Government.  We have until November and would appreciate it if you could help send this crowdfunding around to anybody you know.

We have raised £250,000 in nine months but we require match funding and with the pandemic all our income and revenue from the building has stopped, and we can only open in a limited capacity at the moment.  For every penny we raise on the Crowdfunder we have submitted a grant for an additional match which, if successful, can make all the difference
