Domitor is sorry to have to report the passing of Mervyn Heard, who died November 14, 2017. Mervyn Heard was the leading British magic lantern performer of the past two decades (Domitorians may well have seen his performances). He was a doctor, researcher and author who greatly contributed to magic lantern history. The Magic Lantern Society, of which Heard was formerly Chairman, plans to hold a full celebration of his life and work later in 2018 (for more information, please contact Domitor member and Magic Lantern Society Secretary/Treasurer Richard Crangle).
